A non-scrap post

So AJ (4) and I are at Target today getting lunchmeat. He's checking out all the meats and cheeses in the deli case and asking about them. He points to the aged Swiss and asks what it is....I tell him it's aged Swiss "it's old cheese". He says "oh, you mean like from the 1980's?". I thought the poor guy working behind the counter was gonna choke. It was so funny. Out of the mouths of babes....

Today's the Day -- New Kit!

Today is the day Kathy ( The Latest Scoop Too ) and Tracy ( Growing Pains - Scrapped ) release their collab kit, Altered Path. I had the privilege of working for Kathy on her part of the kit. It was so much fun. The kit is great...very colorful and versatile. I scrapped girls in both my LO's, but it can be used for just about anything!

First ever designer layout

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited (nervous, terrified, panicked, etc)...I'm doing my first ever layout for a designer to show off a new kit. Kathy at The Latest Scoop, Too has put together a new kit and asked for some layouts to show it off. I'm working diligently and LOVE the new kit. You will too. Introduction

Greetings from North Texas, where the weather, though not yet fall-like, is at least no longer August-like. Welcome to my blog. I'll warn you I'm not much of a writer, but I wanted a place to note the random happenings of my family, which includes my husband, our two boys (10 (going on 30) and 4 (going on...and on...and on), our ancient Basset Hound, Duchess, and myself. I also hope to include tidbits of my latest obsession, digital scrapbooking! I hope you enjoy my posts...come back soon to see what's up with the Howell's!
